I have just finished Finders Keepers by Stephen King. It’s part of a trilogy about a detective. I’m now going to start the last book End of Watch. I’m excited!
His collections of short stories have a nice balance between weird, supernatural, scary and lighthearted. That’s another “book” I finished this summer, it’s called Night Shift. That might be a good place to start to see all of his writing before jumping into something specific. If you like detective stories The Bill Hodges Trilogy is excellent.
I love detective books and have been wanting to explore more short stories, so both of those options are great suggestions!
